Morgane is a writer & director based in NYC.
Since 2017, she has been creating theatrical experiences with THE CLASSICS DEPARTMENT. In their most recent undertaking, she directed and co-wrote BET ON LOVE, a genre-bending corporate reality dating show, existential drama, and surreal musical odyssey…with prediction markets. Grimes called it “the future of reality tv x dating”, and some other guy described it as a “strange ritual to the deathbed-bound demiurge of capital.”
Before that, she wrote and directed DATING SHOW TO SAVE THE WORLD, an unhinged theater piece about an eternally recurring late-night dating show, and THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL, a short film adaptation of the eponymous Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale. Both played for an audience of 500 in Maryland.
In 2021 she started ZORG PRODUCTIONS with Zoe Mintz. Their first short, VIBRATOR GIRL, had its world premiere at the 2023 SXSW Film & TV festival, and was an official selection at Palm Springs International ShortFest, SIFF + Museum of Pop Culture Science Fiction, and others.
Her academic background is in computer science. In a previous life, she worked as a software engineer in machine learning and biotech.
What else? She is currently pursuing an MFA at NYU. She has a Coverfly.
